Because of the high quality of our frames we want to make sure that they get to you safe and in perfect condition. For this reason, they are packaged in high quality art containers that can range from $100-$220 (depends on size of frame) in addition to the shipping.

If you prefer, you can make an appointment for pick up to eliminate the shipping cost. If you would like to choose this option, please contact us BEFORE placing your order.

One of a kind, high quality engineered picture frames with a mix of premium hardwoods and machined, anodized aluminum corners.

The hardware allows the frame to be hung EITHER vertically or horizontally. However, if using the wire to hang (instead of the stand-off option) the frames are shipped to you in the horizontal direction (unless you state otherwise PRIOR to assembly) since that is the most common. (Please feel free to bring the frame to a local frame shop if you are uncomfortable changing the wiring yourself. You will need to purchase new wire since it is not recommended for re-use.) If you are local, contact us and we can change it for you.

Please Note: The frame dimensions are NOT the outer diameter of the frame but is the pocket size for the artwork. (ie- A 24"x36" frame will hold a piece of artwork that is 24"x36") The DEPTH of the pocket would be .3125"
A 1" stand-offs come with every frame that can be used to hang or for visual only.

Adding you own image - The inner 'ledge' that the artwork sits on is 3/8" (.375") which means ONLY 3/8" if the image will be covered by the frame so printing without a border is highly recommended.

Common Frame Size Chart

Frame: A mix of premium hardwoods and anodized, fully machined aluminum corners. (Wood sections are hand-oiled with a linseed oil that is 100% FDA approved for food contact surfaces and contain no VOC’s or dyes).

Acrylic Glass: Premium museum quality.

Stand-Offs: Made of anodized aluminum, these are designed to mount the artwork a fixed distance from the wall. You can either mount these stand-offs directly to the wall or you can hang the artwork with the traditional picture wire and use the stand just for the illusion the artwork is 'floating'.

We have a 15-day return policy on non-custom orders, which means you have 15 days after receiving your item to request a return.

***PLEASE NOTE: ITEMS IN THE 'FRAME COLLECTION' AND 'FRAMED ARTWORK COLLECTION' (ALL FREE MOTUS STUDIO ITEMS) ARE MADE TO ORDER SO THEY ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND CONSIDERED CUSTOM.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return RMA#, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as Free Motus Studio items, special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
